The Washington Demons boys golf team is moving on to district competition after a second place finish in the sectional round at Fairfield Golf and Country Club on Wednesday.

Washington shot a 332 for the day, 12 strokes back of first-place Pella and four strokes ahead of third place Fairfield. Two Demon golfers received medals, with Rajan Roth placing second at 77 and Drew Conrad finishing in a tie for third at 78. Ethan Peebler and Carson Brown shot an 87 and 90 respectively. Tate Greiner finished with a 95.

Pella’s Kyler Besick was the overall champion at 76. Washington will move on to the District round next Monday, returning to Bos Landen Golf Course in Pella.
