Hospice of Washington County is one step closer to their future end of life hospice home thanks to a generous donation from the Havel family.
On Friday, Hospice staff met at the site of the future home at the corner of 8th Avenue and 11th Street to officially receive a donation of $500,000 from LeRoy Havel. Hospice Director Katrina Altenhofen shared what the donation means to the organization, “Well this is the beginning of many years of planning, preparation, and a dream that’s finally coming true. Thanks to LeRoy and the Havel family for helping us get it started.”
An end of life hospice home is a place where individuals can spend their final days in comfort, dignity, and peace. It provides around-the-clock care in a home-like setting, offering support to patients and their families during one of life’s most important times.
