
Eight teams attended this year’s Wapello Girls Invite at Heritage Oaks Golf and Country Club, but it was the Highland Huskies who stood atop the leaderboard at the end of the day.
The Huskies shot a 385, 24 strokes ahead of second place Wapello. Emersyn Schultz finished in a tie for first place overall, adjusted to 88. Adisyn Prottsman shot a 97, Joslyn Prottsman shot a 99, and Autumn Guseman contributed to the team score at 105.
Hillcrest Academy placed third with a score of 433. Annika Schrock led the Ravens with an adjusted 106, followed by Claire Withrow at 107, then Ava Miller at 109 and Emma Parizek at 115.
Winfield-Mt. Union placed fourth with a score of 440. Ashlyn Bender was the other half of that first place tie, giving the Wolves an adjusted 88, while Ella Kann scored a 99. Kellee Milks scored a 118 for the day, and Isabella Martinez shot a 139.
A trio of Columbus Wildcats were also in the field Wednesday, but the team did not receive a team score. Hailey Wellington led the Wildcats with a 102, Kinlee Brown shot a 107, and Jocelyn Hernandez shot a 113.
