Washington dropped its second straight, falling 3-1 to Fairfield on the road to begin the week Monday.

Fairfield went on the attack early, taking a 2-0 lead into halftime. Washington scored its lone goal in the second half, with Nerick Raymundo scoring off of an assist from Joseph Schreiber in the 64th minute, but Fairfield scored one more in the second half themselves to keep the Demons at distance.

Washington took nine shots in Monday’s contest, with four being on goal. Meanwhile, Fairfield attempted 13 shots, eight of which were recorded on goal. Demon goalkeeper Braedon Tappan received credit for eight saves. Washington falls to 3-3-1 for the season.
