The boys and girls of Winfield-Mt. Union golf continued its hot streak to start the season, taking down Columbus at Cedar Crest Country Club on Monday.

In the boys’ contest, the Wolves defeated the Wildcats 164-205. WMU took all six top spots, with Nicholas Sparrow leading the way with a 39. Other Wolves included Konner Kinneberg at 40, Justin Knipfer at 42, Cody Milks and Grant Anderson at 43, and Max Edwards at 44. Columbus was led by Kai Allec, who shot a 45. Other Wildcats included Mason Hardy at 46, Aiden Dohrmann at 52, Jensen Wellington at 60, and Erick Goselin at 62.

The girls’ side was an automatic win for WMU as Columbus were not able to field a full team. The Wolves shot a 219 as a team, with Ashlyn Bender leading the way with a 44. Ella Kann finished second with a 49. Other Wolves include Kellee Milks at 55 and Isabella Martinez at 71. Hailey Wellington led the Wildcats with a score of 50. Kinlee Brown was right behind her at 51. Allyson Hernandez shot an 83.
