Highland girls’ basketball coach Jody Fink has been named Coach of the Year for the SEISC-North.

Under Fink’s guidance, the Huskies finished 20-4, and a perfect 16-0 in conference play. The Huskies have improved their win total in each of the last four seasons, and this year hit their first 20-win season since the 2009-2010 campaign.

Fink’s Huskies not only led the SEISC-North in several categories, but took their statistical dominance statewide. Highland ranked fourth in Class 1A in assists with 397, second in rebounds with 1,069, second in defensive rebounds with 663, fifth in offensive rebounds with 406, and fifth in steals with 435. Several players also ranked within the top 10 in conference individually.

Fink and the Huskies reached the Class 1A Region 6 quarterfinals before falling to Keota.
