The Columbus Community Booster Club has announced that they will host Bingo Night on March 20th to raise money for uniforms and equipment for the Columbus Wildcats athletic teams.
Donations are free will and dinner will be provided by LBR BBQ. Prizes will be given away and according to club member Kelly Totemier, there will also be a silent auction.
“We are going to have a labor auction. Each of our teams are putting up a couple hours of labor by the teams and coaches, so people can bid on those teams to come out and put mulch out for them, or rake leaves and do whatever they need for spring cleanup.”
Due to past success, the Bingo Night is also one of the only events the club has planned that is not a new event, as Totemier says that the club is going through a “rejuvenation” now that many of the past athletes have graduated.
Club member Jay Heindel emphasized that the focus of the event is the athletes. “The real focus here is to keep awareness on our student athletes and the funds they need to have those extracurricular events of training and resources.”
Bingo Night begins at 6:00 on Friday, March 13th at the Columbus Junction American Legion.
