Hillcrest Academy is set to host “An Evening of Music inspired by John Denver” with local musicians Lee Ebersole and Friends.
Ebersole is a musician from Kalona who spent 18 years working as a teacher and bus driver at Hillcrest. He plays guitar and is a founding member of the Old Man Band.
Music at the concert is all inspired by late country music star John Denver. Denver wrote and sang many hits such as “Rocky Mountain High,” “Leavin’ On a Jet Plane,” “Thank God I’m a Country Boy,” and his most well-known song “Country Roads, Take Me Home.” Even after Denver’s 1997 death in a plane crash, his music’s popularity has endured.
The concert is from 7-9 p.m. at Hillcrest on March 13th. Tickets are $15 for pre-sale, and $20 at the door. For more information visit the Bad Angle Events website.
