
Area boys completed at the Dickinson Relays at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls on Monday.
Washington sent two boys, both competing in shot put. Junior Greyson Hartman took first place with a throw of 19.87 meters. Brady Mantz took 37th with a throw of 13.72 meters.
Columbus boys competed in several events. Runners included Lamar Ceant (45th, 7.34), Alex Rees (49th, 7.35) and Djamar Exantus (64th, 7.40), who competed in the 60m preliminaries. Ceant and Rees competed in the 60m hurdles, finishing 4th and 8th with times of 8.15 and 8.34 respectively. Tyson Corneille (78th, 24.86), Fritz Massillon (122nd, 25.50), and Leondre Ceant (137th, 25.75) competed in the 200m. Lando Garza (102nd, 57.65), Dante Orozco-Gutierrez (120th, 58.90), and Angel Ineichen (141, 1:00.32) competed in the 400m. Elias Gonzales Bravo (62nd, 2:17.16), Drake Marin (70th, 2:18.35), and Elias Duran (100th, 2:26.25) competed in the 800m. In the relays, the team of Garza, Kaalberg, Ineichen, and Perez took 52nd in the 4×200 with a time of 1:43.39, and the team of Storm, Ryan Villa, Kevin Villa, and Tovar took 27th in the 4×800 with a time of 9:02.48.
Columbus jumpers included Donovan Rees (14th, 5’10”), Tyson Corneille (25th, 5’8″), and Ellis Hills-Carrier (61st, 5’2″) in the high jump, and Dakota Aney (99th, 16’09”) and Mason McCullough (109th, 15’07”) in the long jump.
Columbus throwers were Fritz Figaro (51st, 13.26m), Ronaldo Villegas (77th, 12.58m), and Geovanny Martinez (151st, 10.60m).
Lone Tree runners who competed on Monday included Domonic Garcia (71st, 7.43), Grey Spilman (163rd, 7.97), and Jonas Koedam (173rd, 8.09) in the 6om preliminaries. In the 200m, John Daufeldt (52nd, 24.51), Koedam (163rd, 26.41), and Spilman (165th, 26.54) competed. Garcia (75th, 56.55), Daufeldt (129th, 59.44), and Carter Parrish (184th, 1:07.61) competed in the 400m. Parrish also competed in the 800m, placing 125th with a 2:59.28.
WACO runners included Hayden Shelman (54th, 7.36), Bryson Waterhouse (143rd, 7.81), and Eli Cavin (185th, 8.23) in the 60m preliminaries. Owen Lord (75th, 9.69) took part in the 60m hurdle preliminaries. Waterhouse (147th, 25.89) and Cavin (174th, 27.33) also competed in the 200m. Locken Henderson (71st, 56.46), Garrett Landau (94th, 57.40), and Hunter Wilson (153rd, 1:00.85) competed in the 400m. In the 800m, Jude Dykstra took fourth with a 2:06.06, and was joined by Gavin Slagel (42nd, 2:13.67), and Hunter Wilson (94th, 2:24.14). In the relays, the team of Henderson, Slagel, Landau, and Dykstra finished 17th in the 4x800m with a time of 8:47.28.
Two WACO jumpers took part in the long jump, including Hayden Shelman, who finished eighth with a jump of 21’04”, and Bryson Waterhouse (63rd, 18’05”).
