Two students of Winfield-Mount Union High School have been selected to have their art displayed in an art show in the state capital.

Senior Ella Kann and sophomore Rebecca Given will have their artwork displayed at the Youth Art Month art show in Des Moines. The art will be displayed at the Jordan Creek Mall until March 28th. Youth Art Month is a statewide celebration and exhibit of student artwork presented by the Art Educators of Iowa group.

Art Educators of Iowa helps celebrate Youth Art Month through an annual art show held each year in Des Moines. Art teachers can submit up to 10 student artworks each year. Once artwork is submitted from all over the state, judges select the winning artwork that will be showcased in several different shows during the month of March.

The show displays artwork from students K-12 around the state. Both Kann and Given will receive invitations to the Youth Art Month Reception and will be given certificates of achievement.
