The gritty effort that has become the standard for Columbus girls basketball continued during the most recent winter.

The “Cats finished sixth in Class 2A, pulling down 36 rebounds per game. Four Wildcats finished with more than 100 boards each, led by 180 for senior Kennedy Woepking. Fellow senior Naveiah Garza was next with 119, junior Iris Garza pulled in 117 and junior Kymila Bacon had 104 rebounds.

The Wildcats finished with an 11-11 overall record, their third straight double digit win season.
