There is the potential for severe weather in the KCII listening area today. 

According to the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities, Friday afternoon through the overnight hours, a potential round of storms will bring the risk for severe weather to the area. 

The storm prediction center is forecasting a level 2 of 5 risk for severe storms, including a low risk for strong supercell storms capable of producing very large hail, tornadoes, and damaging winds. A line of storms is expected to move through the entire area late Friday evening and overnight, with the main threat being damaging winds and an isolated tornado.

Knowing this information should improve your chances of being safe if severe weather threatens
