A meet-the-candidates event will be held this Saturday at the Washington Public Library for Democratic candidates in congressional, state, and local races. 

Candidates will be available from noon to 2 p.m. to meet constituents. Those attending include: U.S. House District 1 candidates Christina Bohannon (via video message) and Travis Terrell; U.S. Senate candidates Bob Krause, current Iowa State Representative Josh Turek, and Iowa State Senator Zach Wahls;. Secretary of State candidate Ryan Peterman; State Auditor candidate Taylor Wettach; and Washington County Board of Supervisors candidate Dr. Lynette Iles. 

During the event there will also be a discussion about a proposed ballot measure for changing how board of supervisors representatives are elected in Washington County.

This event is being hosted by Washington County Iowa Democrats, and United Presbyterian Home Democratic Event Leadership Team.
