Two annual events are returning to Washington this spring and summer. 

The Washington City Council approved the fourth annual Farm to Film Fest to be held April 18th and 19th in downtown Washington. The Farm to Film Festival has been officially designated as an Iowa Certified Film Festival. This achievement recognizes the commitment to quality under the newly established Certified Film Festival program, administered by Produce Iowa on behalf of the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA). 

This year’s event will be held throughout downtown Washington with film screenings taking place at the CityPoint Hub, Washington Public Library, State Theater, and City Hall. 

They also approved the 27th annual PAWS & More Central Park Car Show taking place on August 23rd beginning at 8 a.m. This day on the square is one of the largest fundraisers of the year for the shelter’s operations. 

The council approved both events unanimously.
