The Columbus Wildcat boys basketball team used a big second half to score a statement Senior Night rivalry win over Louisa-Muscatine 79-46. The score was tied at 17 after the first quarter and the Wildcats held a 37-32 lead at the break. Columbus outscored L-M 42-14 in total after half, including a 25-5 run that lasted the full third quarter. The ‘Cats out shot the Falcons 38-29% from the floor with 11 made threes. Columbus won rebounding 48-46, assists 14-7, steals 11-3 and turnovers 18-7. Drake Marin led the way on the stat sheet with 24 points, including six made threes and five steals. Ellis Hills Carrier had 22 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Fritz Figaro had 12 points on a night where a dozen Wildcats scored. Oscar Cline led the Falcons with 20 points. With the win, Columbus was 9-12 while L-M sat at 3-18.

The game served as Senior Night for the Wildcats where they honored Gabe Zuniga, Elliot Wessley, Drew Totemeier, Miguel Elizarraras and Kaleb Arreola with a ceremony.
