The Southeast Iowa Agricultural Research Association will host its annual meeting next Thursday, March 5th, at the Southeast Iowa Research Farm in Crawfordsville.

Planned for this year’s meeting are several discussions and presentations about topics important to southeast Iowa farmers, including an update on the research farm, crop disease management, rootworms, and artificial intelligence in agriculture.

Field Agronomist Rebecca Vittetoe, with the Iowa State Extension Office in Washington County, says how attendees can get information and interact with presenters on-site, “If there’s a question that comes up as the presenters are talking, they’re all really good about stopping and trying to answer the questions. So, part of it is, if you come to this meeting, we want you to be able to get your questions answered as well. It won’t just be a sit there and listen all day, we want to make it be able to be interactive and have that back and forth as well.”

There will be lunch provided, free for association members, but $10 for non-members. Registration is not required, but preferred as it helps plan for a head count for food. Walk-ins are welcome.
