
The Highland Huskies girls basketball team racked up the postseason honors, with several selections to the SEISC-North All-Conference teams.
Sophomore Kamryn Fink and junior Hailey Brun were named to the 1st team. Fink, a unanimous decision, averaged a double-double this season, scoring 16.6 points a game and pulling down 12.6 rebounds a night. Fink also averaged 5.9 steals, 3.9 assists, and 2 blocks per game for the Huskies this year. Brun came just shy of averaging double-digits, picking up 9.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.4 steals a game.
Selected to the second team were junior Katelynn Thomann and freshman Kinzie Ruess. Thomann averaged 7.9 points per game and 3.6 rebounds, while Ruess averaged 6.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in her first season of high school basketball.
Highland received two honorable mentions, seniors Makenzie Davis and Emersyn Schultz.
In addition to the players, head coach Jody Fink was named Coach of the Year. Under Fink, the Huskies advanced to the quarterfinals of the Class 1A, Region 6 tournament.
