Washington senior Adalyn Long has been selected to the Class 3A Southeast All-District Team by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.

Long, a four-year starter for the Demons, earned her first selection to the team following a season in which she led the Demons to a 12-11 record and the team’s first playoff win since the 2020-2021 season. She averaged 13.7 points per game this season, leading the team in assists and steals. In her four years as a starter, Long led the Demons in scoring every season, scoring in double-digits in all but her freshman year.

Long was the lone selection for the Demons on the 3A team, and the only selection on the team to come from a non-state ranked team. The #1-ranked team in 3A, Mount Vernon, secured three selections. Other selections came from Maquoketa, Mediapolis, Tipton, Williamsburg, and Mid-Prairie.
