Ellie Evans from North Liberty has been named Miss Teen Rodeo Iowa 2026, and recently celebrated her official crowning ceremony.
She began her riding journey five years ago. She entered the horse industry through 4-H and FFA, and by showing in Washington and Johnson County. In addition to showing, she is active in cowboy mounted shooting, where teamwork, trust, and horsemanship are essential.
She graduated from Liberty High School in 2025, and is currently enrolled at Oklahoma State University, pursuing a degree in Agricultural Communications with a minor in Marketing.
Evans was also named Miss Congeniality during the pageant. Contestants are judged in three main areas, appearance, horsemanship and personality. Serving as Miss Teen Rodeo, Evans will advocate for agriculture, promote rodeo, and support the sponsors and professionals who make the industry possible.
