A Brighton woman turned herself in on multiple warrants, including two felony warrants, on Tuesday.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40-year-old Courtney Pettit of Brighton on the warrants of controlled substance violation and failure to affix drug stamp, both class D felonies, as well as possession of methamphetamine first offense, possession of marijuana first offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia, all serious misdemeanors.

These charges stem from an investigation that occurred in November of last year, when officials obtained a search warrant for Pettit’s home and vehicle and discovered multiple drug-related items and paraphernalia in the residence. Approximately 112.3 grams of marijuana, multiple items with meth and meth residue, and approximately 1.79 grams of psilocyn mushroom were all located in the residence. Also multiple small Ziploc baggies used to distribute drugs were found.

Pettit’s preliminary hearing has been set for March 3rd.
