Construction on a culvert on Spruce Avenue in Washington County is underway

On Tuesday, construction began on Spruce Avenue (G6W) three quarters of a mile south of Highway 92. 

This project will involve a box culvert extension to fix erosion issues that will extend the life of the existing culvert. The anticipated time for completion of the project is 10 days, dependent upon weather and other factors associated with the project. 

The work will be completed under normal traffic. The Washington County Engineers Office encourages the public to use caution while traveling through the work zone. The contract for this project was $57,175 and was awarded to Iowa Bridge and Culvert, L.C. of Washington.
