The Washington Demons enter their substate bracket as the #5 seed on Monday, facing off against #4 seed Burlington on the road.
For the third time in 2026, the Demons will clash with the Greyhounds, and for the second time, the Demons will be on the road. Washington has come up short against Burlington in both prior matchups this season. On January 9th, the Demons fell 66-56 at home, and on February 13th, the Demons lost again 64-56.
Looking beyond the results, the two teams have put up very similar numbers this season. On the year, the Demons average 59.2 points per game and allow 59.5. Burlington averages 58.8 and allows 59.4 a game. Both teams shoot at a high mark from the field, with Washington leading percentage-wise from the field, beyond the three-point-line, and the free-throw line.
Washington will look for big production from its starting five, including Drew Conrad, Kael Williams, Rajan Roth, Nic Stone, and Tate Greiner. The Demons’ biggest strength has come from a well-balanced scoring attack, with Stone, Conrad, and Roth all averaging double-digit scoring for the season. Williams is right on the cusp, averaging 9.9 points a night. Two players lead typically lead the way for the Greyhounds. Sophomore Jett Morris leads the team in scoring at 15.4 points per game, and junior Kobe Edmunds at 10.3 points a game.
