The Lone Tree Lady Lions concluded their season following a 63-37 loss to Springville in the Class 1A, Region 4 semifinals on Friday.
This season, the Orioles feature one of Iowa’s best players, 6’3″ South Dakota commit Rowan Jacobi. On this night, the senior delivered. Lone Tree didn’t have much to answer defensively, as Jacobi put up 44 points and 17 rebounds, but the Orioles also kept the Lions from generating much offense.
Lone Tree trailed 16-1 after the first quarter, then 31-14 at the half. The lead expanded to 26 by the end of the third, 52-26, then finally to the final score of 63-37.
Finley Jacque, doing her best to match Jacobi blow-for-blow, led the Lady Lions with 26 points in the final game of her career. Lone Tree ends its 2025-26 season at 16-8, and will have a new look next season after graduating three starters. Jacque, Ava Christofferson, and Dalanie Graap all move on, leaving five returning players on this year’s small squad. Abby Zaruba and Adi Parizek will likely return as the leading scorers, each averaging 4.5 points per game this year.
Springville, at 23-1, advances to the Class 1A Region 4 finals. They will face off with 16-7 Kee High.
