waco-3

The WACO boys have officially moved into the offseason following a 66-50 loss to Holy Trinity Catholic in the Class 1A Region 5 tournament Monday.

WACO fell behind 17-7 by the end of the first, and never quite recovered. The Crusaders led by 13 at the half, 31-18, and then built that advantage to 17 by the end of the third, 47-30. WACO won the final quarter 20-19, but it was just wasn’t enough, as the Warriors watched their season end on a 66-50 defeat.

WACO’s boys end their year with a record of 11-11. The Warriors will return several key players next year, including leading scorers Hayden Shelman and Holden Hughes, but will lose seniors Adam Stafford, Niles Reichenbach, Nick West, Kellen Shelman, and Raefe Davison to graduation.
