lone-tree-3

The Lone Tree boys ended their 2025-2026 campaign with a tough 91-41 loss to Calamus-Wheatland on Monday.

The Warriors, coming into the game at 20-2, were the heavy favorites against the underdog Lions, and although Lone Tree played well in the early going, the Warriors were overwhelming. The lead quickly expanded, with Calamus-Wheatland claiming a 50 point win, and scoring above 90 points for the second straight game.

Lone Tree, in their final game of the season, was lead by three of their six seniors. Domonic Garcia scored 12, Cade Willoz scored 8, and Kaden Sojka added 6 to the effort. Calamus-Wheatland was led by senior Chase Klatt, who had 23.

The Lions finish their season at 6-16, and graduate six seniors, including Garcia, Willoz, and Sojka, but also Reece Holbrook, Gray Spillman, and John Daufeldt. The Warriors improve to 21-2 and will face their third SEISC-North opponent in four games, when they take on Hillcrest Academy in the Class 1A Region 5 semifinals.
