An annual event is returning to Washington High School for area students looking for a prom dress.
The All Dolled Up dress giveaway can alleviate some of the financial burden that prom shopping can bring, and the first dress giveaway of the season is this weekend.
Students from area schools are invited to shop from a large selection of prom dresses that have been donated and are all free of charge.
The tradition began in 2011 at the Wayland Youth Center and transitioned to Washington High School a couple of years ago. The event began to ensure everybody had the opportunity to attend prom.
The giveaway will be this Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m at the Washington High School, and is open to all area students.
A second dress giveaway event is scheduled for March 28th from 9 a.m. to noon.
