
A Washington man who was arrested on multiple felony charges including weapons violations has received a deferred sentence in a plea agreement.
The Washington Police Department arrested 22-year-old Drake Kron of Washington in December on violation of a no contact order. He had several original charges including: trafficking stolen weapons, a class D felony; a false report to public safety entities, a class D felony; domestic abuse assault with strangulation and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, both aggravated misdemeanors; and assault causing bodily injury and obstruction of emergency communication to 911, both simple misdemeanors. These charges stem from events that occurred in September of 2025.
Court documents state that on November 2nd, Kron violated the no contact order that was in place. Kron violated the order again from December 18th through the 21st.
A sentencing hearing was held on February 10th in Linn County.
The charges of trafficking stolen weapons, a class D felony; domestic abuse assault with strangulation, assault causing bodily injury and obstruction of emergency communication to 911, were dismissed by the court. The charges of a false report to public safety entities, a class D felony; assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, and fourth degree theft, were deferred. Kron plead guilty to the two counts of violation of a no contact order.
Kron will serve two years of supervised probation, and has been ordered to pay $2,400 in civil penalty fees.
