The Class 3A boys’ tournament brackets have been revealed, with Washington getting a near immediate rematch against the Burlington Greyhounds.

Brackets came out late Monday, with the Demons having been placed into the Substate 5 bracket alongside a few other conference foes, along with some potential first-time match-ups.

In two prior meetings this season, the Demons have come close, but fell short to defeating Burlington both times. In January, it was a 66-56 loss, and their February rematch saw the Bloodhounds win 64-56.

On paper, Washington and Burlington should provide the closest first round match-up in their substate. Other match-ups in Substate 5 include 17-4 Pella taking on 2-17 Fairfield, 16-5 CPU facing 4-16 Grinell, and 17-3 Keokuk taking on 4-16 Fort Madison.
