Area wrestlers are heading to the 2026 Iowa High School Athletic Association Boys State Wrestling Tournament today. 

The Washington Demons who have qualified are Caden Greiner, Jace Kinzenbaw, Blaine Rees, Brayden Vermillion, and Rudy Wolfe. 

Sigourney-Keota Savages are sending Ryker VanDenHeuvel, Dillon Menke, and Owen Menke. 

The Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union Wildcats are sending Justin Knipfer, Dakota Aney, Bowen Thomson, and Trevor Phillips. 

The single Lone Tree Lions qualifier is Tate Nelson. 

The WACO Warriors will be sending Ian Maize, Rydge Sterna, Teage Pepper, and Harley Larrimore. 

The tournament will be held at the Casey’s Center in Des Moines Wednesday, February 18th, through Saturday the 21st. Tune into KCII for updates from the event.
