The Washington Demon boys dropped their final conference game of the season Friday, falling on the road 64-56 at Burlington.

Washington, fresh off a big comeback win over Williamsburg earlier in the week, fell behind early once again in Friday’s contest. The Demons trailed 18-13 after the first, and fell behind a little further at 32-22 by halftime.

However, unlike Monday’s contest against the Raiders, there would be no true comeback. While the Demons took the third quarter 16-10, and cut the deficit to just four, the Greyhounds would push the lead back out, denying the Demons and taking the 64-56 win.

Kael Williams led the Demons with 20. Nic Stone had 12, and Rajan Roth added 11. Washington drops to 11-9 on the year, and finishes conference play at 4-6. Burlington improves to 12-7 and 8-2 in the conference.

Washington will wrap up the regular season this week with a couple of non-conference games. The Demons will start Tuesday evening with a trip to West Liberty, before ending the season with a tough test at home against Class 3A #8 Solon on Thursday.
