The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved a letter of support for PAWS and More Animal Shelter as they apply for a T-Mobile grant. 

The letter states PAWS & More, formerly known as Washington County Humane Society, has been providing a valuable service to our community since 1978. 

The addition of walking paths, park benches, and shelter structures for their new property will be a great asset to the area, creating a welcoming outdoor space in the new business park. It will be the first of its kind in that new area of Washington. PAWS & More touches the community in many ways and this will enhance the business park and be an inclusive welcoming space to visit.  

PAWS is applying for a T-Mobile Hometown grant. The grant specifies that they will help fund projects that foster local connections, like technology upgrades, outdoor spaces, the arts, and community centers. This grant program is specifically open to 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) nonprofit organizations and local government entities.
