The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved a K9 fund donation at their meeting on Tuesday. 

The $2,000 donation was made by Kinetic Nutrition Group. The donation was to help supplement the addition of the second K9 on the force. The second K9 was added to the sheriff’s office in November of last year. The initial cost for the new K9 is $15,000 which includes the dog, training, and veterinary costs. 

The Washington County Sheriff’s K9 program operates entirely on donations.
