The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys basketball team lit up Dan Breen gym Monday at Fairfield High School, scoring a late-season non-conference win over the home Trojans 75-28. The Golden Hawks couldn’t have scripted a better start, putting together a first period that included 30 total points and eight made threes to build a 23 point advantage. The Hawks were on top 47-16 at halftime. Mid-Prairie won the second half 28-12, including a 15-4 third quarter to enact the running clock. The Golden Hawks out shot the Trojans 55-24%, pulled in 30 boards, won assists 21-10, steals 8-7 and turnovers 18-8.

Bryce Henry led a Golden Hawk quartet in double figures with 19 points including four threes and six rebounds. Brooks Weber and Tristan Koller each finished with 12 points and five assists. Hudson Ehrenfelt scored 10 points. Five Hawks had at least one three, Weber, Koller, Henry, Clayton Davidson and Bo Pennington. Mid-Prairie has won six-in-a-row to take their record to 15-5 on the year as Fairfield falls to 2-16.
