A familiar face for Sigourney-Keota will be on the lanes next week at the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Class 1A State Bowling Championships.
Sigourney-Keota’s Sophie Young is on her way to State for the second straight season after her performance at Monday’s Qualifier meet at West Burlington. Young rolled a 576 individual score, placing her third at her site, and seeding her 12th in the field 32 competitors to qualify. Sigourney-Keota finished fourth in the team race with their combined score of 1,872. Louisa-Muscatine was the winner at 2,707.
Young will compete Tuesday at the Class 1A State Championships at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo.
