A wreck on Wayland Road Thursday evening left a vehicle totaled and one injured.

Just before 8 p.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle wreck on Wayland Road, about six miles south of Washington. According to officials, a 2005 Honda Pilot driven by Jeremiah Porter of Coggan was traveling southbound when the vehicle lost control entering the east ditch overturning. The vehicle came to rest laying on the driver’s side. At the time, the road was slick due to falling snow and ice.

All four occupants, including two minors, were able to leave the vehicle through the sunroof. One adult passenger was transported to the WCHC emergency room.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Washington Fire Department, Washington EMS, Washington Rescue, and the Washington Ambulance Service.
