Joseph Moore

A Riverside man who was arrested in Washington County on possession of methamphetamine and interference with official acts also had sex offender registration violation charges out of Linn County. 

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Joseph Moore on December 27th after a short car chase in Washington County. While in the Washington County Jail, it was discovered that Moore had other outstanding charges. 

According to court documents, on June 1st during an investigation into another offense, a deputy located Moore in a residence that he had not registered with the county.  This was the fourth sex offender registration violation by Moore. Moore was charged with four counts of sex offender registration violation, all class D felonies. He was originally placed on the sex offender registration after sexual abuse in the first degree charges in Oregon. He had registration violations locally in Linn, Johnson, and Washington counties. 

Moore plead guilty to these felony charges on November 6th, a sentencing hearing has been set for February 5th. 

Moore is currently being held in the Washington County Jail.
