The Kirkwood Washington County Regional Center will be holding two College Credit in High School (CCHS) information nights for current 8th- through 11th-grade students. These informational evenings will take place on Wednesday, January 28th, from 5 to 6 p.m., and Thursday, February 5th, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Kirkwood Washington County Regional Director Tera Pickens shares what topics will be covered that evening, “All of the college credit in high school opportunities that are available to them. Of course we will cover all of the career academies that we have available at our regional center, but we also share with parents and students more information about the CCHS courses that are taught on site, as well as online options.”
Through CCHS programs, students in Washington County can explore potential careers, build essential skills, and earn free, transferable college credit, all while working toward their high school diploma. These programs save time and money, and open doors to high-demand trades and academic pathways. Over the last 10 years, students have saved $9,162,174 through these courses at the Washington facility.
