Two girls wrestling teams were in tournament action Friday at Eddyville-Blakesburg for the Megan Black Invitational. Sigourney-Keota had the top area team finish, placing fifth of 26 schools with 119 points. Aplington-Parkersburg/Grundy Center were the winners with 179.5 points. Izzy Heisdorffer finished third at 145lbs to lead SK, with teammates Aubrey Utterback, Karley Greiner, Kia Montgomery and Sadie Clarahan all fourth.
Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union was 15th with 40 points. Top ‘Cat was Jada Moats runner-up at 190lbs. Rozlynn Garza was fifth at 130lbs.
