The new year is approaching, and the temperature will make for a chilly evening as many celebrate. 

The National Weather Service of the Quad Cities estimates that the temperature on New Year’s Eve is expected to be 13 degrees overnight as the calendar changes from December to January 

According to the National Weather Service, 2026 will begin with seasonal temperatures and dry conditions in the region. If you plan on being out on New Year’s Eve, bundle up with hats, gloves and scarves to keep yourself warm. Tune into KCII for all of your weather updates.
