Sigourney-Keota and WACO sent their girls wrestling teams to Chariton for their final Pre-Christmas Tournament. SK had the highest finish of the two teams, placing eighth of 20 schools with 104 points. Ottumwa was the winner with 206.5 points. The Savages Kia Montgomery won the individual championship at 125lbs, going 4-0 in contested matches, including a pin of Clarinda’s Kylar Downey for the title. SK’s Karley Greiner was runner-up at 155lbs, Naveah Beinhart was fourth at 130 and Izzy Heisdorffer fifth at 145.
WACO was 18th with 12 points. Makayla Morrison led the Warriors in sixth at 120lbs.
