Two local boys wrestling teams traveled to the Lynx Invitational at North Linn before Christmas. The Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union Wildcats had the top team finish, placing second of 16 schools with 157.5 points, behind only the champion Lynx on their home mat with 189.5 points. Three Wildcats won titles on the day. Justin Knipfer at 106lbs, Dakota Aney at 113lbs and Bowen Thomson at 132lbs were all champions after undefeated days. Three other Wildcats were runners-up including Angel Ineichen at 138, Trevor Phillips at 175 and Kason Dopler at 190.

The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks were 12th with 58 points. Tommy Miller was the winner at 215lbs with an undefeated day. Trevyn Riley at 113lbs and Josh Turner at 175lbs were both fifth.
