The Washington County Board of Supervisors have not yet finalized the compensation decision for employees and elected officials following discussion on Tuesday.
The 154-page compensation report, required by state law before setting compensation rates, was supplied by Supervisors Jack Seward Jr. and Marcus Fedler.
The discussion turned towards a possible 4% increase for the sheriff’s office and the county attorney’s office, and a possible 3% increase for all other employees. Previously at their meeting on December 9th, the board voted in favor of a 2.8% increase for all employees and elected officials. However, due to the report not yet being complete, that action was negated.
Last year, the Supervisors approved a 2.5% increase for staff and a 2% increase for elected officials.
The topic was tabled to allow the supervisors more time to go over the compensation report and other information received from elected officials. The supervisors will vote on a rate at their next meeting on Tuesday.
