A pair of KCII area schools shared the floor for a Southeast Iowa Superconference doubleheader when the Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves hosted the Columbus Wildcats, with each school earning a win. In the girls contest, the Wildcats pulled away with a big second half for a 54-30 win. The Lady Wolves held a 9-7 lead after one and the contest favored Columbus at 20-18 at half. The Wildcats outscored WMU after half 34-12, including 14-2 in the fourth quarter. Each team shot 24%, the Wolves won the glass 39-36, while Columbus took assists 10-7, steals 26-5 and turnovers 33-14. Individual Wildcat leaders were Isabel Rendon and Ellie Sanders with 12 points each. Naveiah Garza and Kennedy Woepking each added 11. WMU was led by a nine point 10 rebound night for Quin Smith. Columbus was 2-4 after the win with WMU at 1-6 following the loss.

The boys game went to the Wolves 56-27. On top 14-8 after one and 24-13 at half, the Wolves put things away outscoring Columbus 32-14 after half including a 19-5 run that spanned the full third period. The Wolves shot 35% on the night with 47 rebounds, 15 steals and nine assists. Isaac Egli led the way on offense with 13 points and five assists. Nick Sparrow chipped in 10 points, Cody Milks had 15 rebounds. WMU improved to 4-1 with the win while Columbus drops to 3-2.
