The Washington City Council will be discussing changing the times of their meetings and the hours of operation for City Hall during their meeting this evening.

The council had already discussed the topics at a previous meeting, but decided to table the discussion until all of the council members would be able to attend. The proposal is to move city council meetings a half hour earlier to 5:30 p.m. and to close city hall daily at 4 or 4:30 p.m.

Also on the agenda is the mayoral affirmation of the Fire Department election results and the appointment of the Fire Chief, as well as the reappointment and appointment of two individuals to the Hotel Motel Tax Committee.

The meeting is set to begin at 6 p.m. in Washington City Hall.
