A Washington man was arrested in Fairfield on a Washington County warrant with felony charges.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified that Jefferson County Officials had arrested 59-year-old Jeffrey York on Monday. The warrant was for failure to appear for pretrial on the original offenses of possession of contraband in a correctional institution, a class D felony, and operating under the influence, a serious misdemeanor.

York’s pretrial conference had been set for December 3rd. His original arrest stemmed from an incident in October of this year, when York was seen by a sheriff’s deputy driving through two stop signs in Ainsworth, and was subsequently arrested after a field sobriety test. While at the Washington County Jail, drug paraphernalia was located on York.

York has a new pretrial conference set for December 31st, he is currently being held in the Washington County Jail on a $6,000 bond.
