The Washington City Council discussed and tabled changing the hours of operation for City Hall as well as the time that City Council meetings are held during their meeting this evening.

Over the past several months discussions regarding the start time for City Council meetings have been had according to a memo from City Administrator Joe Gaa. During that same time, there have also been discussions with staff about hours of operation at City Hall.

The resolution proposed that the start time for City Council meetings be moved from the current 6 p.m. start time to earlier at either 5 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. The resolution also proposes that City Hall open at 7:30 a.m. daily and close at either 4 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. Currently City Hall is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Due to two absences and one abstention, the council decided to table this topic until the next meeting.
