Following one of the best football seasons in Mid-Prairie history, Golden Hawk head coach Daren Lambert was named Class 2A District 6 Coach of the Year.
Lambert oversaw a 2025 Golden Hawk team that had an undefeated district record, winning back-to-back district championships for the first time in program history. The Hawks had 17 all-district selections, including eight first-team choices and swept the Most Valuable Player Awards including Offensive MVP Hudson Ehrenfelt and Defensive MVP Kaden Kos. Four Golden Hawks were named All-State in 2A including seniors Ehrenfelt and Kos and juniors Tommy Miller and Brooks Weber.
The Hawks finished in the top 10 of Class 2A football in 38 different team and individual stat categories. The Hawks set or tied 11 all-time Mid-Prairie team and individual records and finished in the top 10 in school history in 37 categories.
Mid-Prairie finished the year with a 9-2 overall record, second most wins ever for the program, finishing 5-0 in district. They advanced to the playoffs for the 17th time in school history and the State Quarterfinals for the seventh time ever. This is the second consecutive season Lambert has won District Coach of the Year.
