
The holiday season will be in full swing in Washington this weekend.
Main Street Washington will host a Breakfast with Santa at the United Presbyterian Church from 8 to 10 a.m. The Jingle Bell Fun Run will be held at 9 a.m.
The Reason for the Season performance will begin at 1 p.m. at the Washington High School Auditorium with the proceeds going to HACAP.
Festivities downtown will include the live radio plays performed by the Washington Community Theater are titled “The Magic Christmas Tree ” and “No Christmas Bonus”, and will be broadcast live on KCII and performed in the windows of the Washington Public Library beginning at 5 p.m. Main Street Washington Executive Director Samantha Meyer shared a new addition to the events on Saturday evening, “We are also going to have three food trucks set up downtown in Central Park this year. So, JT’s Sips, Eaton Good Kettle Corn and DeLovely’s Delicious Mini Donuts, so, all of the best treats and things to warm you up while you are watching the radio play, or the parade.”
The Downtown Lighting Ceremony and Lighted Parade will begin at 6 p.m.
