A pair of local schools were on the mat Saturday at the BGM tournament and a Highland duo brought home gold. The Huskies had the top area team finish placing eighth with 79 points. Eddyville-Blakesburg was the team winner with 158. Individually, Adley Sweeting was the winner at 120lbs, pinning her way to the title at 4-0 including a finals fall over Kate Krause of Eddyville-Blakesburg. Chloe Sexton was the winner at 235. Sexton was 3-0 in contested matches, pinning her way to the top of the podium including a championship fall over MaKenna Darland of North Mahaska.
The WACO Warriors were 14th with 28 points, led by Makayla Morrison fourth at 120lbs.
