
Knerr
A West Chester man has been arrested on felony probation violation charges.
The Ottumwa Police Department reported on Friday that they were out with a subject with four warrants out of Washington County. They arrested 27-year-old Kelly Knerr for probation violation on the original charge of attempted third-degree burglary, a class D felony, and operating a vehicle without consent.
According to court documents, in January of 2024, Knerr was allegedly seen in a Brighton residence taking items. Knerr later admitted to the deputy that he had been at the residence and had the stolen property in his possession.
In July of this year, Knerr plead guilty to aggravated misdemeanor charges and was serving his suspended sentence in a residential correctional facility. Knerr is currently being held in the Washington County Jail, a revocation hearing has been scheduled for December 3rd.
